Mickael Tanter interviewed in the French magazine La Recherche

In an interview given to the French magazine La Recherche, Mickael Tanter, director of the laboratory Physics for Medicine Paris (Inserm/ESPCI Paris/PSL University/CNRS), showcases functional ultrasound imaging and its expected impact in neuroscience.

The article goes through the past research work which gave birth to ultrafast ultrasound imaging, and details the more recent applications developed for brain imaging, including the latest results obtained in the past months : monitoring complex cognitive tasks and investigating sleep phases in animals, mapping and monitoring the brain activity of pre-term neonates in clinics.
