M. Tanter, M. Pernot and E. Messas awarded 2024 inventors prize of Le Point newspaper
đ We are proud to announce that three of the founders of Cardiawave, MickaĂ«l Tanter, Mathieu Pernot, and Emmanuel Messas, have been honored as winners of Le Point’s 2024 Inventors Awards! Mickael Tanter and Mathieu Pernot are respectively director and deputy director of Physics for Medicine Institute (Inserm/ESPCI PSL Paris/CNRS) and collaborate for more than 15 years with Professor Emmanuel Messas, world renowned cardiologist, Professor of Cardiology at European Hospital Georges Pompidou.
đ Their invention, an innovative technology for repairing aortic valves using ultrasonic shock waves was developed in France by Cardiawave a spin-off of our Institute Physics for Medicine Paris. This technology will provide care for patients suffering from severe AS (Aortic Stenosis), who currently have no solution.
đ CardiaWave ultrasound therapy device is currently exclusively for clinical investigations. Congratulations to the entire team for this well-deserved recognition, as well as to all the winners of this award !
