Prestigious Research Fellowship in Engineering, Cambridge University

Attached is an advert for a research fellowship in Engineering at Pembroke College, Cambridge. The fellowship is not restricted to any specific subject but rather just restricted to Engineering viewed in a broad sense. These endowment funded research fellowships are very prestigious in the Cambridge setting as they offer nearly unlimited freedom to the holders to pursue research in topics of their choosing.

Notre équipe ouvre un poste en CDD de deux ans pour travailler sur la modélisation hybride d’une ligne de fabrication instrumentée. Notre partenaire est LACTIPS qui produit un polymère industriel sans plastique. Nous sommes à la recherche d’un candidat de niveau Master ou PhD pour un travail de modélisation des processus physiques à l’oeuvre dans le procédé industriel de fabrication de granulés de polymère, tout en tirant profit des mesures physiques disponibles. Our group is opening a two-years position to work on a hybrid modeling of an instrumented manufacturing line. Our partner is LACTIPS who produces a plastic free polymer. We are looking for a candidate at Master or PhD level for the modeling of the physical phenomena featured in the industrial process producing polymer pellets, and by taking advantage of the physical measurements available. The School of Mathematics, University of Bristol, is seeking to appoint one or more Lecturers in Applied Mathematics. A Lecturer holds an indefinite appointment roughly equivalent to an Assistant or Associate Professor in the USA. We seek an outstanding applied mathematician/theoretical physicist that supports or complements the research activities of the  Institute for Applied Mathematics. Currently, the Institute has research activity in soft matter, theoretical biophysics, complex materials, dynamical systems and fluid dynamics. The post-holder will be responsible for their own research programme, carry out appropriate administrative tasks and deliver excellence in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The position is open to all areas of physics, with a special interest in those projects on 
computational physics. It is expected that the selected candidate will be incorporated 
into the Department by March 2022. The application deadline is August 2, 2021. Applicants 
should have formal training in physics, a Ph.D. in physics or related area, postdoctoral 
experience, and be active in research at international standards. A strong commitment to
