Insect-inspired physics
Insects are a source of inspiration for a wide variety of problems, for
example associated with their flight and locomotion, their colors, their
behavior, their shapes and structures, or their secretions. The
understanding of these different phenomena requires interdisciplinary
approaches as well as the consideration of several spatio-temporal scales.
The GdR MéPhy organized on December 15 and 16 2020 a workshop to explore
these questions in a transversal and informal way. The objective was to
discuss the physical mechanisms at the origin of these phenomena, bringing
together mechanics, physicists, roboticists and biologists from different
communities.
This meeting took place on Zoom, with a first session in the
afternoon of the 15th and the second one in the morning of the 16th.
Registration was free but mandatory.
NB: workshop held in English .
