The Section for Mechanics, part of the Department of Mathematics, invites applications for an Associate Professor position.

The open position is in continuum mechanics, more specifically in fluid mechanics and/or elasticity. The candidate must have a strong background in experimental, computational, or theoretical research in at least one of the fields mentioned above (wave processes, multiphase flow and biomechanical applications within fluid mechanics). Furthermore, the candidate must be prepared to give courses within continuum (fluid and solid) mechanics.
