Le GdR Méphy a organisé une journée thématique sur les systèmes composés de trois phases ou trois composantes: par exemple une phase solide (e.g. des grains, particules ou micro-organisme, une membrane, etc.) et deux phases fluides (e.g. un liquide et un gaz, deux liquides non-miscibles), ou bien deux types de particules mécaniquement différents dans un fluide. On trouve de tels exemples dans les mousses chargées en particules, les granulaires immergés, les sols et milieux géologiques, mais aussi les systèmes physico-chimiques ou vivants.
La physique et la mécanique de ces systèmes ont fait l’objet d’une rencontre similaire en 2013 , et l’objectif de cette nouvelle journée était de faire un point sur les avancées récentes sur ce thème et de réunir des communautés voisines pour en discuter ensemble.
La réunion a eu lieu le lundi 28 mars 2022 à l’Institut Henri Poincaré (Paris), en mode hybride (sur place et en ligne). Elle a regroupé environ 70 participants au total.
The GdR Méphy has organised a thematic meeting on systems composed of three phases or three components: for example one solid phase (e.g. grains, particles or micro-organism, a membrane, etc.) and two fluid phases (e.g. a liquid and a gas, two immiscible liquids), or two mechanically different types of particles in a fluid. Such examples can be found in particle-laden foams, submerged granular materials, soils and geological environments, but also in physical-chemical or living systems.
The physics and mechanics of these systems were the thematics of a similar meeting in 2013, and the aim of this new meeting was to present recent advances on this subject and to bring together neighbouring communities to discuss them.
